• POLLY - an inveterate traveller who spent many years travelling independently and continued to do so after setting up Marco Polo Travel in her spare bedroom in 1989. Thirteen years down the line, and with a move to the Park Street offices in 1992, she continued to travel extensively until the arrival of twin boys in 1999 meant less overland travel and more stay put holidays in lovely hotels! Polly has visited over 70 countries and has recently developed an interest in East European countries with visits to Russia, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Lithuania.

• IAN - another experienced traveller, Ian has lived and worked in the Far East, travelled overland through Africa and spent six months exploring the Australian outback. Ian gave up a career as a corporate lawyer to join the travel industry over 20 years ago. Recent research trips for Marco Polo have taken him to Hong Kong, China, Brazil, South Africa and Namibia.

• ANNIE - Annie has a wealth of experience in the travel industry, both as a travel consultant and tour leader and brings yet more in-depth destination knowledge to add to our already extensive pool. She has recently been to Tanzania, Italy, Morocco and Malaysian Borneo and is a regular visitor to Egypt.

• GEMMA - Gemma achieved an NVQ in Travel and Tourism after joining Marco Polo in 2003. She is now a very experienced member of the team, with particular expertise on small group tours and flight-only bookings, and has travelled to Tunisia, Peru, India, New York, Bangkok, Cambodia and Turkey.

• ANITA - Anita is a long term Marco Polo employee and works for us on a part time basis. When she is not with us she leads tour groups in Asia, her specialist area, and writes travel guides on the region.
